LIFE NIGHTS & other Youth Events

By Elena Medina, Youth Director

The September 24, 2006 Life Night was about sharing with the teens the effects of their attitude and behavior have on others within their family at home and within the family of faith.

We started the night with a skit to help the teens identify their role in the family structure. After that, there were discussion questions to help the teens realize what their parents go through at times. The discussions went very well among teens.

When asked to share with the larger group, some of the teens were very open to share their thoughts with the larger group. The night ended with prayers from different Core Members about teens struggling with their relationships with their mothers, fathers, siblings, with the effects of abuse or divorce and family struggles.

The Sunday, October 1st Life Night, was about the effects that drugs and alcohol have on their spiritual lives and their families.
